Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th, 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her family consisted of a mother who was an housewife, and her father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin is her the third of her siblings. McCormick was an accomplished singer and performer from an early age. She would show puppet shows for the neighbors. McCormick won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest at age 6 and was approached via Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to work in the show business. McCormick was offered her first major job when she was cast in the 1964 television commercial of Mattels new baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she was featured in another commercial that aired on TV for Chatty Cathy's doll. The following year, McCormick was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of the character It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the older of three two-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) which starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The five-year run of the show was a successful one. McCormick revealed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year run of the show. She was just 16 when the incident occurred; he was 19. She said but the timing wasn't the right time for us.
